ePortfolio Project: Emails

The way you write can greatly affect your audience and what they think about you. The

language that you use is a great contributing factor to this. The language you use can either

makes to seem well educated and mature or it can also make you seem uneducated and

immature. However, there are times that you don’t have to seem as professional such as when

you are writing an email to a family member or a friend. In my email project, I had a lot of

grammatical errors and if I were to have written these emails to someone of importance, they

could have come across as uneducated. Therefore, I went through my assignment and fixed my

grammatical and spelling errors. I can use this experience of writing emails to help me use the

correct language when writing to either a coworker or a friend or family member. It can also help

me address a professor through email correctly when I need help or have a question with an

assignment. I feel that the email assignment really helped me be aware of what the correct

language to use depending on who I am writing to. It helped me become better equipped to

perform in everyday life.
