Rationale

This lesson was taught at West Penn Elementary School in New Ringgold, Pennsylvania.
There were 24 students in this class: 10 boys and 14 girls. I chose this lesson because I feel that it
demonstrates my use of instructional strategies, my ability to engage every student in the class as
much as possible, and my ability to differentiate through means of assessment. I modeled what I
expected the students to do, provided a great deal of guided practice, and allowed students to
work independently. Each student was actively engaged throughout the lesson. Overall, the
students developed a strong understanding of point of view.
