Mr. Rath is the Head of the Indian Statistical
Institute's Statistical Quality Control & Operations
Research Unit in Pune. He has spent his entire
professional career & adult life working in
Statistical Research and the Implementation of
Programs such as Six-Sigma, Lean Six-Sigma &
Design for Six-Sigma as well as keeping himself
updated with Data Analytics. His vision & research
set him as one of the best in the country in the
areas of Quality Control in Manufacturing.
He will be speaking about his insights in

Mr. Athavale is presently the Chairman of the IIIE
Pune Chapter with an eclectic background in
Industry. Graduating as a Mechanical Engineer
from VJTI in 1966, he has worked in Manufacturing
until 2000, after which he changed his career path
into education & e-learning. He also holds
certifications from ISI Mumbai & JBIMS in Quality
Control and Finance.
His insights into process management in a variety
of sectors over the course of his career will be his
contribution to our seminar.
