Determination of Liquid Viscosity

The purpose of this experiment was to determine the viscosity of sugar solutions with
different concentration using Ostwald viscometer. Solution 1 having the lowest concentration to
solution 5 having the highest concentration were prepared. Results showed that the higher the
concentration of sugar in the solution the higher the viscosity of the solution. Thus, viscosity of a
solution is a function of concentration – as the concentration increases, the viscosity also increases.
