Dear Parents,

I am Lina Maria Guzmán, the year 1 homeroom teacher. First of all, I want to thank you for the
opportunity you are giving me to become part of your children life. I am honoured and thrilled to
become their kinder teacher and share a wonderful and significant time with them.

Second, I would like to tell you about my background. I am

psychologist from Andes University and I recently graduated
from a Master degree in Early Childhood Education at the
University of Colorado Denver. I have been working with
children since very young and I can say that working with
them is my passion. For this reason, I will always offer them
the best of me by being lovable and caring, but at the same
time keeping limits and discipline as fundamental values for
our classroom environment. A perfect balance between these
aspects will give children the opportunity to reach their full
potential, learning goals and become more conscious about
their social and emotional development.

I also want to emphasize about the importance of having an assertive and effective communication
with parents. This would be essential for keeping a good environment and providing the best
opportunities to our children. I will always be open to your feedback, comments or concerns. You
