ABSTRACT

Gas Dehydration is one of the effective ways that Petroleum Idustry in the
world uses to extract water from the feed gas. This method has been believed to
generate quality Gas and produce in efficient and most effective.

There are two stages in Dehydration process: feed gas flow and Glycol
Regeneration flow. Feed gas flow is to remove water from natural that produce from
reservoir using indentical Contactor and Coalecer filters whilst the Rich Glycol will
flow to regeneration units to extract solvent to achieve to Glycol purity

Glycol dehydration is a liquid desiccant system for the removal of water

from natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGL). It is the most common and
economical means of water removal from these streams. Glycols typically seen in
industry include triethylene glycol (TEG), diethylene glycol (DEG), ethylene
glycol (MEG), and tetraethylene glycol (TREG). TEG is the most commonly used
glycol in industry. Triethylene glycol, TEG, or triglycol is a colorless odorless
viscous liquid with molecular formula HOCH2CH2OCH2CH2OCH2CH2OH. The
purpose of a glycol dehydration unit is to remove water from natural gas and natural
gas liquids.
