At the forward end of the skid (1) (DETAIL G)

- Remove the bead of sealing compound from around the
forward cross-tube (3) and the skid (1).
- Refer to the (MTC 20.03.01.102) and remove the rivets (50).
(c) Disconnect and remove the skid (1) from the forward cross-tube
(3) and from the aft cross-tube (2).
If necessary, do this procedure again to remove the other skid (1)
and disengage the forward cross-tube (3) and/or the aft cross-tube
(2).
2. Build up the landing gear
a. When the landing gear is not installed on the helicopter, you can install the
components below
(1) Install a skid (1)
- Engage the skid (1) in the forward cross-tube (3) and in the aft
cross-tube (2).
To make it easier to install the skid (1), put the bolt (36) that attaches
the aft cross-tube (2) in its position. Then install the rivets (50) that
attach the skid (1) to the forward cross-tube (3).
