Assessment
The assignment is in three Parts. Each group is given a certain
location in Australia to convert an undeveloped greenfield area
to an urban developed area. You are expected to design a
Stormwater Management system to remove the Stormwater
effectively while improving the water quality to comply with
certain water quality standards. This study is carried out in 3
parts.
1. Design of a conventional urban drainage system for a
residential area to obtain the flow hydrograph at the
downstream end of the developed area.
2. Design of a detention basin and an outlet structure to
bring the flood peak down to the pre-development stage
3. Introduce innovative water quality improvement
measures (WSUD) to comply with water quality
standards before releasing water from the detention basin
to the receiving waters.
A map of the study area will be provided.
