Stormwater Management system to remove the Stormwater
effectively while improving the water quality to comply with
certain water quality standards. This study is carried out in 3
parts.

residential area to obtain the flow hydrograph at the
downstream end of the developed area.
2. Design of a detention basin and an outlet structure to
bring the flood peak down to the pre-development stage
3. Introduce innovative water quality improvement
measures (WSUD) to comply with water quality
standards before releasing water from the detention basin
to the receiving waters.
A map of the study area will be provided.

You are required to submit:

 Solutions to the tutorial questions at the end of the session
for feedback. Submit the spreadsheet via the online drop
box at myRMIT by 9.00 o’clock on the day before the
tutorial classes in Weeks 2, 3, 5 & 6. Feedback on the
tutorial problems will be handed back to you during the

accepted after the due date.
 The assignments and the feedback questions will be carried
out in groups of 3 or 4 students. All members in the group
should attend the same tutorial class. Each group
member’s grading will be based on overall group grade,
peer assessment from group members as well as tutor’s
assessment of their participation in group project. Please
note that individual grades of students can be different
from the grades of other group members.
 Each part of the assignment by the due date for assessment
