Models 3840E, 3840EP, 3940E, 39401, 39401P, and 3944 have multiple Paper paths, while Models 3810S, 3810SP, and 3414 have bottom feed only. Models 3810S, 3810SP, 3840E, and 3B40EP have standard RS-232 serial and CENTRONICS® parallel interfaces. These models are used in ‘many standard computer applications. Models 3940€, 39401, and 39401P have a standard CENTRONICS® par- allel interface and a rear-mounted inteligant controller making them sut- able for 1BM® coax and twinax applications. Models 3914 and 3944 have internal intaligant controllers making them ‘suitable for CENTRONICS® parallel and for IBM® coax and twinax ap- Plications. ‘This manual is divided into five chapters as follows: ‘Chapter 1, “Introduction,” provides a basic description of the printer.
