1. Give 2 or more examples of how you perceived your institution to be reinforcing
gender roles and gender equality. Answer: For almost 4 years of staying with LNU, I observed some examples of work where in reinforcing gender roles and gender equality occurs. For example, when it comes to the school uniform there is no gender stereotyping especially with the members of LGBTQ+ community like the lesbian ones. All lesbians in our institution are given the opportunity and freedom to choose their preferred uniform. Instead of wearing the usual skirt for girls, they are free to wear the slacks so they can feel comfortable every time they are inside or outside of the campus. Another example is the athletes, not all athletes are boys. Girls are also given the opportunity to enjoy playing basketball, futsal or even the other sports that is supposed to be for males only. With that, I can say that our institution gives opportunity to others especially when it comes to gender roles and gender equality.
2. Suggest practical ways of addressing these situations based on your current
understanding of gender and that ensures the advancement of men and women. Answer: As I have deepen my understanding with the gender roles and even the gender equality. I can suggest that all genders must be given the opportunity to feel free, have freedom and courage to show what they really are. For example, when it comes to the comes to the comfort rooms I suggest that the other people who have their own perspective and understanding with their own selves must be given the chance to enjoy what the normal and usual person enjoying and experiencing.
