FM-406: Project Management

Objectives: The basic purpose of this course is to understand the framework for evaluating
capital expenditure proposals, their planning and management in the review of the projects
undertaken.

Unit-II: Project Financing

Financing of Projects; Investment Criteria. Analysis of Project Risk: Firm Risk and Market Risk;
Social Cost and Benefit Analysis; Project Financing in India,

Unit-III: Project Administration

Multiple Projects and Constraints; Network Techniques for Project Management; Project Review
and Administrative Aspects; Assessment of the Tax Burden; Problem of Time and Cost Overrun
in Public Sector Enterprises in India,

Unit-IV: Project environmental Diagnosis

Environment Appraisal of Projects; Human aspects of Project Management. Project Financing:


BOT, PPP and consortium financing.
