This is the introduction to Circulation Module.

This is part of the preparation for the five musculoskeletal cases

that you will be figuring out.
As always, we have five objectives for the module.
The first is for you to be able to compare the blood vascular and lymph
vascular components of the circulatory system.
The second is to be able to describe the basic components of blood.
The third is to explain the flow of blood through the heart
and to compare the pulmonary and systemic circulations.
The fourth is to contrast the basic functions and structure
of arteries, veins, and lymphatic vessels.
And finally, we hope you will be able to explain the concept of anastomoses
and a collateral circulation.
So these are very basic concepts in talking about the circulatory system.
You may know most of them already, but we
thought it would be a good idea to start from the basics
to make sure that you're prepared to figure out the cases.
As always, we will begin by reinforcing concepts
that you learned in earlier modules.
So for your review question-- which of the following
illustrates the basic organization of the circulatory system?
