A Valedictory Address

To our honorable guest speaker, _________________________(sir) to our city

mayor Engr. Ronnie Vicente C. Lagnada (sir) my respect to our High School Department
School Heads (ma’am/sir) school administrators, faculty and staff, visitors, our beloved
parents, fellow graduates, ladies and gentlemen, good (morning/ afternoon).

First and foremost, I would like to thank God for this very special day and for giving
me the chance and privilege to stand and speak before you today as Valedictorian of St.
Joseph Institute of Technology Class of Batch 2018. Today is indeed a very special day
to celebrate. A celebration of triumphs, hardships and perseverance. I have a mixed
emotion of delight and sorrow. I feel delighted for this is the day we, the graduates, are
watching for after all the hardships over endless homework, quizzes, long test and
stressful projects, we all managed to survive. We have come a long way from what we
were four years ago. Let us all rejoice and be proud no matter how hard it was and no
matter how much we would like to quit, we still endure it and finally with the help of our
families, loved ones and God’s grace, we graduated against all odds and trials.

Let us all give thanks to our parents, guardians for being with us through the ups
and downs of our journey. Our deepest gratitude to our teachers, mentors, coaches and
educators for sharing this knowledge and wisdom to us. We will never forget you and your
contributions in our education.

I would like to say goodbye to the last chapter of our high school years and say
hello to another one brand new start, a new beginning. Let us all move forward, aim higher
without forgetting all the values, discipline and memories we have shared. Let us all
celebrate our triumphs and success with our loved ones. Thank you from the bottom of
my heart. Once again, a pleasant afternoon to one and all.
