English Literature Test

English literature testing in the Philippines has been drawn too much attention by the
Filipinos through the years. However, Filipinos forgot to have concern on the management of
English literature testing. Will it still possible for everyone to experience change if limitless
barriers are heading along the way?

Classroom assessment has been an integral part of the teaching-learning process

worldwide. It is the proof of every learner’s achievement. However, instead of using it as a
support to promote learning, it becomes the hindrance that avoids the teachers to continually
meet the student’s needs because of lack of validity of test items especially in large-scale testing
in literature.

We cannot deny the fact that some test providers fail to ensure that the use of test is
appropriate for its stated purpose and target population because of large-scale testing and
assessment. The consistency in scoring the reliability of test scores becomes unreliable because
all tests under the large-scale testing and assessment are used on a national or even international
scale.

Clearly, there is a huge possibility for everyone in the world of literature education to
experience change because of the good quality our educational system offers today. The only
requirement for it to be able to work is for the Filipinos not to take an aggressive approach of
achieving it. Preparing the public before doing such any act is the first thing that must be
considered so that there will be a certainty that innovations will be achieved in the near future.
