Task
To perform an instrument/voice in a band.

Rehearsal and Preparation

Ask for assistance when needed
Help others learn their parts

Lead others – direct sections

Technique
Drums: arms crossed with the right over the left where appropriate and coordination of feet
Keyboard: appropriate use of fingers in the correct positions
Guitar: use of plectrum or thumb
Bass guitar: ‘walking’ notes
Vocals: match pitch consistently throughout


Presentation - Performance
Play at an appropriate volume – ensure the balance is good and that you can hear yourself clearly as well as the other members of the
group
Make sure the audience can see each band member (do not block your band members)
Be mindful of your positions on the ‘stage’
Communicate and interact with your group members
Communicate and interact with the audience
Be sure of who is responsible for cues (stop/start etc)
Be aware of facial and body expressions
Give an energetic and engaging performance
