Project # 1

Project : ESI
Client : TD Bank, Canada
Duration : Feb 2015 to Till Date
Environment : Ab Initio GDE , Co>op, UNIX

Description:

Toronto-Dominion is one of leading bank in Canada. TD Bank Financial Group had

CDN $574 billion in assets. TD Bank Financial Group also ranks among the world’s
leading online financial services firms, with more than 6 million online customers.

The Canadian Personal and Business Banking having the services-TD Canada Trust,
TD Commercial Banking, TD Financing Services, and TD Insurance.ESI (Enterprise
Staging & Integration) is a staging platform. It receives data from various source
systems, transforms them and passes on to the downstream systems. Data comes-in
from various source systems to ESI for credit card, bank account, mutual funds etc.

ESI does not store any data within itself. It extracts the data; does validations/sanity
checks/apply transformations and loads the data into a “Prep” table at the
downstream. Now it’s downstream/target application’s responsibility to pull out
the data from Prep table and load its production/target tables. Different approaches
like SCD process.

Individual Contribution:

 Participated in client calls to gather and analyse the requirement.

 Developed graphs for data extraction and scrubbing for various transformation
processes.
 Involved in Unit Testing the Ab Initio graphs and quality assurance and bug fixing.
 Worked on different change requests using AbInitio graphical development
environment according to the specifications.
 Build the graphs to incorporate the transformation logic as per the business
requirements.
 Worked in a Sandbox environment while extensively interacting with EME to
maintain version control on objects.
 Prepared the Unit test cases and Implementation test plans for quality assurance
and bug fixing.
 Implementation of several test cases to test the graph in various situations.
 Proven ability to work in a team environment to solve complex problems.
Project # 2
Project : Client Update Factory
Client : ESI
Duration : May 2014 to Jan 2015

Description:

This is migration project, as ESI(West) (Express Scripts) acquired Medco(East) Pharmacy

Benefit Management (PBM) organization, the different client data is migrating from West to
East future 14 box(Db2) database, so that all the Medco client could be synch with ESI in
future all the data could be access with single system.

ESI does not store any data within itself. It extracts the data; does validations/sanity
checks/apply transformations and loads the data into a “Prep” table at the downstream.
Now it’s downstream/target application’s responsibility to pull out the data from Prep
Table and load its production/target tables. Different approaches like SCD process.

Individual Contribution:

 Developing Ab Initio graphs as daily and monthly cycle for loading, partitioning,
cleaning and populating the data based on legal and business requirements.
 Worked with Partition components like partition by range, Partition by Round
Robin, partition by Expression efficient use of Multifile system, which comes under
data Parallism.
 Performing transformations of source data with Transform components like
Replicate, Redefines, Reformat, Filter-by-Expression, Rollup etc.
 Used Lookups with Reformat component to fetch matching records based on for the
downstream process.
 Extensively worked in Reformat, Filter by expression, JOINS, ROLLUP and SORT
Components and Having good experience on MVS files.
 Updating the clients and the onsite co coordinators with the ongoing development
status in weekly basis.
 Involved in Unit Testing, Documented Test Cases for every individual graph.
