The human body as a kind of machine
Scientists became interested in the workings of the human body during the “scientific
revolution” of the 15th and 16th centuries. They think that our body is just like a well-oiled
machine, powered by metabolism. The metabolism is controlled by the nucleus which keep
our genes. The cell is directed by nucleus and inside of nucleus there are genes that kept safe
in packages called chromosomes. We have 46 set of identical chromosome, 23 from mother
and the other 23 from father. Proteins perform structural roles, keeping cells shaped properly.
also work as enzymes that speed along chemical reactions.

Internal Transportation System in the Body
Blood is the body’s primary internal transportation system. Most drugs travel via our
bloodstream, because our bloodstream is the body’s primary internal transportation system.
Blood contains magical molecules that can make a clot form within minutes after your
injured. Blood cells are suspended in a watery liquid called plasma that contains clotting
proteins, electrolytes, and many other important molecules. Blood also ferries proteins and
hormones, nutrient molecules of various kinds, and carbon dioxide and other waste products
destined to exit the body. But one of the biggest problems is getting the medicine to the
correct organ can cause a side effect.
