Cultural Literacy around the word

When I was 9 or 10 years old I had the opportunity to go with my family to a

town in Colombia located in the city of Huila, I do not remember very well
the name but it was in that geographical space of our country, it was very
different from what was identified or my meaning of city since I live in a city
that is Bogotá, there was a lot of vegetation and it was very hot, people
dressed differently since they did not wear jeans, sweaters, much less
jackets, as it was a place where it was hot Pants shorts, flip-flops and one or
two shirts, but when it rained, the water did not stop and it was very noisy.

Their food was little compared to what was already used to eat in Bogota as
they lived on potatoes, yucca and different vegetables that grew in that arid
environment, they concluded that they did not eat meat since the livestock
was not present, their streets were not paved since it was nature that
dominated in that place, there were many insects, birds and flowers, nature
in general, which gave beautiful scenery to that place, its people were
warmer and nobody thought it was better to have more than another was a
teaching, it was a place where the government did not help much, we said
that there was a lot of poverty that was a negative aspect of that place, the
truth is that I do not like it much and I do not want to go back there, what I
can highlight is that in the face of adversity the Colombian workers went
ahead and from there I learned to see the ways of life of the less fortunate
people and not forget my past, I will remember all my life that place.
