Objectives:

To design and implement a working smart air cooler with various functions and control features

along with rechargeable battery support.

Proposed Outcomes:

The smart air cooler will have the following features:

1. It will be remote controlled.

2. It will have water detection capability through which the cooler will itself turn off the

pump when the water level will reach a certain minimum point

3. It will have a battery support. The cooler will have both AC direct input and built in

rechargeable battery.

4. It will have a sensor which will notify about the decreased water level.

Abstract/Project summary (at least 250 words):

In an era of smart devices a smart air cooler will be very cost efficient and easy to use device.

The air cooler will have a built in rechargeable battery along with AC input, which can be used

during power cuts. The wings of the air cooler will be remote controlled. The user can also

switch on/off the cooler or only its pump with remote. The cooler will have a water detector

sensor which will switch off the cooler when the water level will go below a certain point. This

sensor will also notify about the decreased water level.

Future Scope:

 In future iterations of the project, this smart air cooler can be made more portable. The

size of the cooler can be designed such that it can provide maximum cooling without

taking much space.

 An auto refill option can be added, which will fill water into the cooler from the tap itself.

The user just need to make sure the water pipe is connected with the tap and the tap is

open. The cooler will itself regulate the flow of water which is coming from the tap itself.
 A smart sensor can be added in the cooler which will send reports and notifications on

users Smartphone. With this sensor the user will be able to operate the smart cooler using

his/her mobile phone itself.

Methodology to be adopted:-

The methodology to be adopted for this project is to read the existing research papers on the

topic and then come up with a plan that improves the products that are similar to our project.

Resource requirement (Hardware & software etc):-

1. Water sensor.

2. Remote control.

3. Cooler chassis.

4. Water pump.

5. Fan.

6. Rechargeable battery.

7. Connecting wires.

8. Mesh.

9. Movable wings.

Justification of the project:-

The project is a low cost version/prototype of something that is potentially game changing for

the fire department. The drawbacks of implementing such systems are that it will lead to job

losses but in turn reduce risk to human life.

PERT Chart/Schedule of project completion:-

Week 1: Literature survey on the problem and coming up with the ideal solution.

Week 2: Literature survey on an ideal micro controller.
