The letter also stated that. had a substance abuse issue and that he had been seen in class snorting cocaine. Other issues that made them want to report this student was his known violent encounters he had with other students. The letter suggests he had choked another student in one of the school bathrooms. OFFICER REPORTING. CALL _REPTAKER _EDIFDATE_EDITTIME APPROVED DONOHOE,JAMESRAYMOND — 22072018 13:40, On 02/20/18, I was acting in the capacity as a School Resource Officer at Washington High School. I was contacted by Administrative Dean Johnnie Washington-Thomas in reference to a video threat that was posted on social media site Snapchat by a current student. ‘Washington-Thomas advised that she was contacted by another student in reference to a video on Snapchat. Washington-Thomas showed me the video which showed a black male looking into the camera. In the video, the male can be heard saying "at Washington, Pensacola State College, and Workman Middle. They're going to be shooting it up at noon. So at noon, everybody hit the floor. I want everybody to just take off...run...run for the car and take (unintelligible). Everybody break the gate. We ain't having that shit. There's a ‘whole lot of gang shit around here." Washington-Thomas identified the student in the video as Malik Kameka. In addition, at the top left corner of the Snapchat screen, the name Malik Kameka is displayed. I also recognized Kameka from previous interactions at the school. Based upon the information that Kameka presented in the video, contact was made with the school administrators at Washington High School and the school was placed on lock down at approximately 1200 hours. Contact was also made with the administration at Workman Middle School, and it was placed on lock down as well. Both schools were released from lock down at 1258 hours. The lock down at both Washington High School and Workman Middle School interrupted the normal operations of the school and caused each school's schedules to be delayed by approximately an hour. Deputies with the Escambia County Sheriff's Office made contact with Kameka at 4508 St. Nazaire Rd and he was taken into custody. ‘A copy of the video that Kameko posted onto Snapchat was uploaded into Veripic. An affidavit was initiated for the arrest of Malik Kameka for Disruption of a School Function. “RaRAA” WRT” ~~~ IAVESTIGATIVE “SAVAGE, MARCOS i ‘Status: APPROVED LAWRENCE, MARTEZSTEWAR’ VIS2018 09:44 ‘On 02/20/2018, I made contact at 4508 St. Nazaire where I was met by an Escambia County Deputy who was talking to Malik Kameka.
