Due to the cancellation of traded services with HR, health and safety training will not be provided by CBC.

The training
matrix recommends courses that staff should undertake for their role, red is recommended and green is optional. The
health and safety team cannot recommend specific providers for each course, however, the following organisations that
can providing training are: Cambridgeshire County Council, Bedford Borough Council, Fire Risk Consultancy, Lew
Keyes (swimming pool). Schools are advised to arrange their own training and source their own providers. CBC will
continue to provide health and safety advice and guidance, as well as audits for each LA school (not Academy). Please
note: training provision is the only element of H&S provision for schools (not Academy) that is ceasing.
The training matrix is for general guidance only and does not list every course available. Schools are advised to use
their own discretion in arranging their training and ensuring their staff have adequate awareness of health and safety for
their roles.
Training records should be maintained for all training courses in order that refresher training can be arranged and
evidence of competence can be reviewed.
