PEOPLE (EFFECTS)

 CHILDHOOD
- Jose Rizal had many beautiful memories of childhood just like any other
Filipino boys.
- He have a happy home, filled with parental affection, impregnated with family
joys, and sanctified by prayers.
 FAMILY
- Because he was sickly and undersized child, he was given the most tender
care by his parents
- They taught him to love one another, to behave properly infront of elders, to
be truthful and religious, and to help one another
 EARLY EDUCATION
- His first teacher was his mother
- His mother saw Rizal had a talent for poetry so she encouraged him to write
poems. She gave her all her love and all that she learned in college.

PROCEDURES (EFFECT)

 CHILDHOOD
- Jose Rizal was forced to use his RIZAL surname even though his family
never actually acknowledge it just so that he can travel freely and
disassociate him from his brother who was known to be notorious
 FAMILY
- His family and relatives is the ones who greatly influenced Rizal
- They encouraged him to engage in sculpturing
- They influenced Rizal to do long walks with his pet “USMAN” and even go
horse back riding with his horse “CASTANO”
- They teach Rizal the value of hard work, careful observation of life, as well as
independent thinking that’s why Rizal became interested in the printed page
 EARLY EDUCATION
- Rizal had his early education in Calamba and Binan
- Knowledge was forced into the minds of the pupils by means of the tedious
memory method aided by the teachers whip
- Despite the defects of the Spanish system of elementary education,Rizal was
able to acquire instruction preparatory for college work in Manila

- It may be said that Rizal, who was born a physical weakling, rose to become
an intellectual giant not because of, but rather in spite of, the outmoded and
backward system of instruction obtaining in the Philippines during the last
decades of Spanish regime.
