When the two sites were compared based on their diversity indices, the edge site has a

higher value of evenness compared to center implying that there is no species dominating the site

and each species has an even distribution in the reforestation site. Additionally, the Shannon’s

diversity of edge is higher than that of center implying that the former site has diverse population,

rich in species and more evenly distributed. Moreover, the edge site is also richer in terms of

species richness.
