Abstrak

Gangrene pulp is the state of the tooth where pulp tissue is dead as pulp defense
system is unable to withstand stimulation so that the number of damaged pulp
cells more and more and occupy most of the pulp space. Gangrene pulp is
basically initiated by the occurrence of caries and then associated with the
occurrence of inflammatory processes by bacteria arise swelling, this event is
called periostitis / serous periostitis. If within 2-3 days the above inflammatory
response is not able to inhibit the activity of the causal bacteria, it can progress to
a condition called subperiosteal abscess. pus then spreads in different directions
through soft tissue. It usually spreads to the intraoral region forming an abscess
under the mucosa, called a submucosal abscess.

Abstrak

Gangren pulpa merupakan keadaan gigi dimana jaringan pulpa sudah mati sebagai
sistem pertahanan pulpa sudah tidak dapat menahan rangsangan sehingga jumlah
sel pulpa yang rusak semakin banyak dan menempati sebagian besar ruangan
pulpa. Gangren pulpa pada dasarnya dimulai oleh terjadinya karies kemudian
dihubungan dengan terjadiya proses peradangan oleh bakteri timbul
pembengkakan, peristiwa ini disebut periostitis/serous periostitisApabila dalam
rentang 2-3 hari ternyata respon inflamasi diatas tidak mampu menghambat
aktivitas bakteri penyebab, maka dapat berlanjut ke kondisi yang disebut abses
subperiosteal. pus kemudian menyebar ke berbagai arah melalui jaringan lunak.
Biasanya menyebar pada daerah intraoral membentuk abses di bawah mukosa,
yang disebut abses submukosa.
