The Southern Kaduna Development Forum (SOKADEF), a development based

forum with focus on "Self-Help Empowerment Education and Development of
Entrepreneurial Skills" within the Southern Senatorial District of Kaduna State is
to hold it maiden orientation workshop for self-help empowerment programme for
about 1000 unemployed youth in Southern Kaduna on 23 April 2016.

The forum worked with people in the eight (8) Local Government Councils within
the zone in collaboration with other stakeholders and study the developmental
needs of the youth with emphasis on job seeking skills and graduate employability
which findings has led to the selection of participants.

In the light of the above, SOKADEF in collaboration with National Directorate of

Employment (NDE) Kaduna office is organizing a one-day orientation workshop
for the first batch of 1000 youth that have been profiled and short-listed in various
communities within the eight (8) Local Government Areas of the Southern
Senatorial District of Kaduna State.

The purpose of the orientation meeting According to SOKADEF Chairman Dr

Rikichi Kajang, is to give the beneficiaries- the Youth, an overview on the self-
help empowerment programme, and also provide details on SOKADEF's training
series that will be deplored in the course of 2016, in order to equip them with
appropriate skills necessary for creating employment opportunities for self-reliance
and entrepreneurship in the zone.

The programme in which officials from Kaduna State government, the Senator and
all the House of Representatives members from Kaduna South Senatorial District
and members of the Kaduna State House of Assembly have been invited and have
shown willingness to attend, will hold on the 23/04/2016 at New Choice Hall,
Shetima Road, beside Unity Wonder Land, Kafanchan, Jema'a LG, Kaduna State at
8:00 am prompt.

public especially people from Southern Kaduna extraction to the maiden
orientation workshop for self-help empowerment programme for about 1000
unemployed youth in Southern Kaduna.
