This could cause the control system to malfunction. * The plastic section of the machine may be transformed by the heat. Also keep the machine out of sunlight shining through frosted glass. ‘* Do not expose the machine to extremely high or low temperatures or humidity ‘sf the machine 1s used under extreme temperatures or humidity, the machine may malfunction. Appropriate temperature range for use 10 ~ $0 °C. Appropriate humidity range for use 20 - 90 % Best temperature and humidity 20 “C, 65% + Keep the printing paper away from equipment like water taps, water heaters, and humidifiers Do not store it in an exiremely cold place. The paper absorbs humidity, which may cause curling, mis-feed or detenoration in paper quality Keep the machine away from heating equipment such as stoves and air conditioners. « Install the machine in a well ventilated place © Dust can cause mechanical problems. « Install the machine on a level floor. * Place the machine on the stand provided for it (Acceptable degree of slope for installation 5 mm or less front and rear 5 mm or less ght and left) Installation space '* Leave enough space around the machine to operate it and to Perform maintenance, as shown in the figure Power supply ‘© Power supply is AC1OOV Outlet 1s 15A or more. + Use 110V or less when the machine 1s not connected Use 90V or more when the machine 1s connected Insert the plug firmly into the outlet « Install the machine near the power supply. Switch ON/OFF at an interval of over 3 seconds when it is required to turn on and off repeatedly. 2. Make sure that the flange hole sec- tion is firmly inserted into the shaft to be set when attaching the master roll. 3. The tip end of the master Is left in the machine when the master is at- tached with the master set SW. Do not forget to remove any paper shreds left in the machine. 4, Paper winding up or jamming may be caused when there is little margin on the tip end of the printing paper. Perform printing after replacing the original upside down, setting some margin or changing the LINE mode to PHOTO. 5. Keep the printing paper on a level surface to keep it from creasing and curling. Separate the printing paper, then place it on the main body. 6. Insert the ink cartridge properly to the set line to replace it, as shown on the package. 7. Do not open the ejected master box when PLATE MAKING is displayed. 8. Instead of taking out the drum, use the drum rotation switch to clear the right Jam. 9. Lock the ejected master box firmly after jam is cleared. 10. Replace the drum at the drum stop position when the standard drum is replaced by the color drum. (The drum stop position is the position where the buzzer is caused to sound by pressing on the drum rotation switch.) 1. 12. 13. 14, 15. Hold and move the drum unit horizontally when it is necessary to remove the unit from the main body. Be careful to keep ink from spilling. Make sure that the drum is at- tached and locked firmly to the main body. The printed surface is made un- even when the master is attached double to the drum. Remove the double master from the drum. Make sure that the master clamp is returned to the initial state (closed). Keep the original table glass clean. Printing with the DR550 master takes about 1% longer than that with the DR550.
