ACTIVITY PROPOSAL

I. Title : Monthly Quiz Bowl

II. Rationale :
The Quiz Bowl will be conducted monthly during non-examination Saturdays of
the College of Accounting Education in which students participate and compete for
the different subjects to enhance and assess their knowledge on various accounting
subjects.

III. Objectives :
a) To achieve high passing percentage in the currently enrolled professional subjects
of the participants;
b) To identify prospective members of the Quizbowlers Team;
c) To achieve high percentage of winning in all academic competitions;
d) To promote healthy academic competition among accountancy students

IV. Implementation:
1. Conceptualization and Endorsement
a) Conduct a meeting wherein the Vice President for Academics will preside with
the following agenda:
 Assign committees for every task
 Settle on what subjects to quiz on every month
 Decide the final dates of the quiz bowls
b) Make a letter to the Program Head and the Dean asking permission for the
conduct of the activity

c) Inform teachers whose class will be affected during the Elimination Round
d) Ask faculty to sponsor the questions for the quiz bowls

2. Dissemination of Information
a) Post mechanics and details both in the organization’s bulletin board and in their
Facebook page

3. Competition Proper
a) Conduct the Elimination Round two(2) days before the Final Round (Target Date
stated) on the class schedule of the chosen participants’ major
b) Conduct Final Round consisting Easy, Average and Difficult Rounds
c) Prizes can be any of the following:
 Books
 School Materials
 Cash
 Discounts on T-Shirt Fee

V. Budgetary Requirements
 Prizes 500 x 8 = 4,000.00
 Testing Materials = 1,000.00
