TYPES OF HYPEROPIA
a- Axial Hyperopia
b- Curvature Hyperopia
The cornea and the lens has weaker curvature.
c- Index of refraction Hyperopia
Decrease of RI all OL same part of the optical system.

a)Facultative Hyperopia
May be corrected by lenses or by accommodation
Exam. In latent hy. Pt has n v.a and reject lenses bec it blurr the v.a and the
lenses as without it
b-Absolute Hyperopia
Is the part of hy. That is npt corrected by accommodation.

SYMPTOMS OF HYPEROPIA
1- Blurred distance vision if Hyp. Is big near vision is blurred earlier.
2- H/A esp. in reading for long time.
3- Sensitivity to light.
4- Spasm of accommodation.
5- Sensation of crossing eye & no diplopia.
TREATMENT OF HYPEROPIA
a-Associated ocular muscle imbalance.
-in ET _____ give full cyclo.
-in XT______undercorrect.
-in (T) ______as much as you can to relieved symptoms.
b-Not associated with muscle imbalance.
- Give the Manifest ( Facul. + Absolute) +- slight undercorrection.
- Ask the pt. to wear the glasses as much as they can, or whenever they like esp.
for reading.
- The older the pt. the more he will need the glasses.
- It depends on the pt. symptoms. You may Rx. As less as + 1.00 D.
- Don’t give the full cyclo. Bec. You will blurr the distance V.A. even from 20/15 ___20/20
