RE: Mariposa Springs ~ Community Input Meeting & Rezoning
Jeffersonville Residents,
First, | personally want to thank you for your attendance and participation In B's hosted Community
Input meeting last Tuesday. BW! takes these meeting seriously in pursuing site selection for al of our
affordable housing developments | believe the final consensus from the meeting was that while many
neighbors were Ia fvor of a permanent supportive housing development being builtin Jeffersonville,
‘the location, was not ideal forthe target population, Those in attendance brought intresting ideas to
‘the table, and we wll take al ofthat into account golng forward,
[Asa company, we have seen tis development madel assist many individuals turn thei ives
around. We believe strongly in the programming, but we recognize how Important access to amenities
for our residents for their success in healing and striving towards slt-sustainabilty.

Systems, BW has voluntarily withdrawn our rezoning application wit the Gy Planner and willbe
looking for amore adequate ste for our residents, We will continue to hold neighborhood and
‘community meetings to not only receive more input but aso share the facts about the development of
[Mariposa Springs. We anticipate fnding another property in the coming months that would be more
conducive to our collective efforts to assist those that have experienced homelessness to transforming
theielves,

‘community meetings. Many of you shared your personal stories wth us, and many of you vocalzed

community organizations and efforts committed to ending homelessness and substance use disorders in
