“You, help me?” he laughed. Mouse dashed home.

The day came when Lion
stepped into a hunter’s net.
He was trapped.
Lion struggled. Lion roared in anger.
The net pulled tighter. Then he roared in fear.

None dared to free Lion,
except Mouse.
His loud roar carried Mouse ran to Lion’s side.
in every direction. She found him in the trap.
Many animals heard him. Mouse chewed away the net

“Thank you, little friend,” Lion said.
“You are most welcome, big friend.”
Before long, Lion was free. Mouse replied.
Lion shook off the ropes. “What you give is what you get.”
