CONSULTING CONTRACT It is hereby agreed that a fixed-term contract shall be entered into between The International Center for Religion & Diplomacy (hereafter referred to as ICRD or EMPLOYER) and llm-o-Aman Foundation (hereafter referred to as the Foundation or CONSULTANT).THE PARTIES HAVE AGREED TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS: JOB DETAILS and PROJECT TIMEFRAME, ‘The CONSULTANT shall be contracted on a temporary basis to provide on-going consultation, ‘taining and implementation services for ICRD programming in Pakistan from the period between 1 October 2016 and 31 July 2018. The CONSULTANT shall designate Muhammad Tahir Mahmood as Program Manager and Subject Matter Expert at the llm-o-Aman Foundation, as the assigned person to conduct the required consultancy tasks. PROJECT DESCRIPTION A complete and thorough Terms of Reference (TOR) for the project for which the CONSULTANT ‘will provide services is attached, and constitutes the entire binding agreement for the tasks, reporting, and due diligence to be completed, as well as the schedule for disbursement of funds. The summary of those Terms is as follows: ICRD and Pakistani partner Ilm-o-Aman Foundation will establish, train, mentor and deploy Rapid Response Teams for the mitigation of inter-sectarian violence in Pakistan. The Foundation will conduct its efforts ir close collaboration with work being undertaken by the Peace and Education Foundation, which will focus on developing a counter-narrative to sectarian violence and establishing local advocates to provide a watchdog, reporting and conflict resolution function throughout the four arincipal provinces of Pakistan where the grant work will be conducted: Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan and Khyber. DUTIES AND DEADLINES ‘The CONSULTANT will perform the tasks outlined in detail in the attached Terms of Reference, which include but are not limited to: Select and train members of a pilot Rapid Response Team (RRT) who are religiously diverse and able to mobilize a counter-narrative to sectarian violence in at-risk areas in Punjab: Select and train members of a three additional RRTs with a similarly religiously diverse profile who are able to mobilize a counter-narrative to sectarian violence in at-risk areas in Sindh, Baluchistan and KPK; Mobilize and mentor the RRTs in multiple interventions to diminish or prevent sectarian violence in their areas of influence, including monitoring and measuring suecess (in correlation with the Donor Requiremeats included in the TOR) and generating lessons-learned (in collaboration with PEF); Engage in multiple and diverse media outreach activities to highlight successes and challenges in resolving sectarian violence with inter-religious collaboration, as exemplified by the RRTs. REMUNERATION ‘The total budget for program costs covered in this contract agreement between ICRD and the Foundation, including travel, workshops, media outreach, and partner stipends, will be USS90,000, This remuneration will be paid in instalments after the satisfactory completion of the above project tasks, according to the schedule elaborated in the attached TOR. GENERAL, ‘This Contract represents the entire agreement between the parties and no variation, addition will he of any force or effect unless placed in writing and signed by both parties. Both parties acknowledge that by signing this Contract, they have received a copy of this Contract and, they have read and understood te contents thereof. Both parties undertake to hold themselves bound by this Contract and agree to observe the provisions contained therein, aleration oF CONDITIONS Conditions of the consultation not specified in this agreement shall include ICRD rules, regulations. and procedures. In the event thatthe Consultant Contract and ICRD rules, regulations and procedures be silent on any specific point, the relevant section(s) of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, 75 of 1997 (as amended) shal apply. CONFIDENTIALITY OF INFORMATION ‘The CONSULTANT agrees not to divulge to any person any confidential information concerning the ICRD project or other affairs of ICRD without consultation with, or acting in good-faith on prior agreements, with ICRD Senior Sta.
