Proximal Interruption Of Pulmonary Artery

Abstract
Proximal Interruption of Pulmonary Artery (PIPA) is a Rare congenital anomaly
with a prevalence of 1 in 200.000 and Commonly misdiagnosed as Tuberculosis
Infection for the main Symptoms is Haemoptysis .High Resolution CT are helpful
in confirming and rulling out this congenital anomaly. This condition maybe rare
but when diagnosed properly , this condition can be improve. We describe a case
of Left PIPA in adult presenting recurrent haemoptysis and illustrate the
importance of detailed evaluation to determine the underlying aetiology,
particularly in this rare causes. Furthermore we want to present the clinical
presentation , diagnosis , and management challenges because there is no
guidelines for this congenital anomaly. We would like to make awareness for
recurrent haemoptysis so that we improve the diagnostic for the benefit of
patient.
