This essay was submitted in partial fulfillment of the
reguirenents of the H.A, in Philosophy et the University of Oslo
in August 1962.
I woulé like 0 thank several people for the help and
support they have given me during the preparation. 1 an
particularly grateful to Associate Professor Jon Wetlesen, who
has acted as my supervisor. He has provided valuable connents and
corrections at various stages, and he has also proposed several
improvenants in my language, Ke has spent much time on this, and
I hope that it has not been wasted,
Purthersore, Tam thankful to my father Dagfinn Fellesdal
for reading the manuscript, pointing to confused sentences and
thoushts.
