NUMBER

EVEN & ODD PRIME & COMPOSITE POSITIVE & NEGATIVE RATIONAL & IRRATIONAL

Even: 2,4,6,8 Prime: 2,3,5,7,11,13 Positive: 1, 0.2, 1.33, Rational: +1,-1, 0.2, 5/6,
4.234 4/3, √4, √9 , 1.333…,
Odd: 1,3,5,7 Composite: 4, 6, 8, 9,
2.345, 22, 34, 53..
10, 12 Negative: -1, -0.2, -3, -
1.3333.. Irrational: π, 22/7,
2.345678….,√2, √3

 Consecutive Numbers: X+(X+1)+(X+2)+(X+3)+(X+4)+. . . .

( )
 X= =

 Consecutive Even or Odd Numbers: X+(X+2)+(X+4)+(X+6)+. . . .

 The sum of 2 numbers is 10. Write them as; 1st number is X & 2nd number is 10-X.
 If the difference between 2 numbers is 10, write them as; Small number = X & Large number= X+10.
 If X & Y are two numbers and X is greater than Y by 5, Then write; X-5=Y, or write X=Y+5.
 If X & Y are two numbers and X is smaller than Y by 5, Then write; X+5=Y, or write X=Y-5.
 Reciprocal of a number; If, real number is X, then reciprocal = 1/X , 3 = 1/3…etc.
 Reverse of a number means interchanging the digits of the number.
Ex, Real number = 45, reverse of it = 54.
 If a number is consisted of 2 digits and the sum of the digits is 5, then we can write:
Unit digit= X, Tens digit= 5-X.
So, the number is; 10(X-5) + X [Ex; 64 = 10×6+4, 73= 10×7+3…etc.]
