TYPICAL CV FORMAT

FOR HARD HAT PROFESSIONALS


A typical CV format for Hard Hat Professionals should made up in the following format.

1. PERSONAL DETAILS
List your personal details i.e. Name, Surname, Gender, Languages,
Date of birth, Marital Status and Contact Details

2. EDUCATIONAL DETAILS
This section is divided in 3 i.e. School, Tertiary Qualification
and Other course
a. School - list your highest school qualification i.e. Matric,
also include the year of completion and name of school.
b. Tertiary Qualification – list all your tertiary qualifications including
name of institution and year of qualification
• List your tertiary qualification starting with your most recent
or current.
c. Other courses - list all short courses you have done that are
relevant to your profession

3. COMPUTER LITERACY
List all your Computer packages that you are familiar with, starting with
those that are relevant to your current work.

4. EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
• List all your employers in an order starting with your
current/recent employer
• When listing, employer mention the period you worked for in years
and months i.e. July 2014 to July 2016
• List all your projects you worked on including and your duties
on the project
• List the value of each project.

5. REFERENCES
• Give the references of people you have reported to not your friends
or pastors.

This CV format helps speed up the decision making process for


employers because it reads easily thus saving you time by shortening
the response time from employers.
