(Applies to undergraduate programmes which are classified over the Penultimate and Final years only)
1) In order to achieve Honours you will need to pass at least 100 credits in each year of your programme and meet the requirements specified in the
programme specification. You must also achieve at least 100 Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 credits*.
2) If you have failed any modules you should still include the mark achieved for these in your calculation.
3) Marks of AB (Absent) should be entered into the calculator as 20.
4) If you had more than 1 attempt at a module, you should use the highest mark achieved out of all attempts (unless you have been granted a 'first
attempt' resit, which overwrites any previous mark gained in that module).
5) If you are taking any Skills Discovery Modules in your final year, the marks and credits should be included with your Year 2 marks.**
6) Part time programmes - Normally Penultimate Year modules are those studied in Years 3 & 4; Final Year modules are those studied over Years 5 & 6.
7) The University uses 2 marking scales. If you have any module marks in the range 0-29 or 81-100 awarded by schools that mark on the 0-100 scale,
they need to be adjusted according to the scale below - this is the mark you should enter for your module. All marks outside of these ranges should be
entered as they stand (e.g. 54, 65, 43 etc).
