Your heading should be written on the back of the paper.
Written work must be in ink (or marker/colored pencil). Use color. Ideas should be organized and presented clearly. Use your best penmanship. Your work needs to be legible. Organize your One Pager so that it makes sense. NO BLANK SPACE. Creativity is a MUST!

Copy two significant quotations from the text and explain why you think they are important. (10 points) Include a summary of the excerpt. Use the B.M.E strategy to construct your summary. (20 points) Include an explanation of the author’s purpose for writing the story. (5 points) Draw two or more illustrations that represent the ideas discussed in the text. (10 points) Characterization of Zora. Use the S.T.E.A.L. strategy. (15 points) Write one possible theme for the excerpt. (5 points) Include a plot diagram. Be sure to include all five plot elements (exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution). (20 points) Separate from the plot diagram identify the main problem or conflict in the excerpt. (5 points) Indicate the POV (point of view) that the excerpt is being told in.
