Content: What information should be included in your One Pager?

 The title of the text and author full name. (5 points)

 Copy two significant quotations from the text and explain why you think they are
important. (10 points)
 Include a summary of the excerpt. Use the B.M.E strategy to construct your
summary. (20 points)
 Include an explanation of the author’s purpose for writing the story. (5 points)
 Draw two or more illustrations that represent the ideas discussed in the text. (10
points)
 Characterization of Zora. Use the S.T.E.A.L. strategy. (15 points)
 Write one possible theme for the excerpt. (5 points)
 Include a plot diagram. Be sure to include all five plot elements (exposition, rising
action, climax, falling action, and resolution). (20 points)
 Separate from the plot diagram identify the main problem or conflict in the
excerpt. (5 points)
 Indicate the POV (point of view) that the excerpt is being told in. (5 points)
