"Overview of the Quality of Life for Elderly People in the Wening Wardoyo Ungaran Elderly Social
Services Home"

ABSTRACT

Background: The impact of disturbances on the quality of life of elderly people who are at home
comes from psychological factors and psychosocial factors that interact adversely and
exacerbate the quality of life and work productivity in the elderly.
Purpose: This study aims to determine the picture of the elderly's quality of life in the homes of
aging social services Wening Wardoyo Ungaran.
Method: The type of research used is descriptive research, with a sample of 52 people with
purposive sampling method. The data collection tool uses questionnaires and data analysis using
the statistical package for social science (SPSS) program. Univariate analysis using frequency
distribution test.
Results: A description of the quality of life of the elderly at the Wening Wardoyo Ungaran Elderly
Social Services Home, most of whom had a poor quality of life, namely 29 people (55.8%).
Conclusion: the quality of elderly life at Wening Wardoyo Ungaran's elderly Social Service
Homes, most have poor quality of life.
Suggestion: It is expected that the elderly improve exercise and a lot of motion so that they are
physically fit and not easily affected by the disease and participate in all activities held at the
social service office of Wening Wardoyo ungaran to improve the quality of life of the elderly.
