Dear Mr. Alburger,

In my Pride paper I will be researching computer science because I love programming an

application and feeling accomplished after. After taking the first year computer science class and
currently taking the second year computer science class at Pine Lake, I have found a lot of
enjoyment coding and programming different applications.

My paper will be about the general field of computer science, in which I will talk about the
history of the computer, the definition of computer science, misconceptions about computer
science, and different programming languages that computer scientists have to know. I will also
talk about how the world around us has more technology, that computer science and everything
computer related will have big impacts in the future of this society. This will affect the salary and
job security in the future as well.

My mentor will possibly be someone at my dad’s work because my dad is in the computer
science field and has co-workers that could help me. I am hoping that my mentor will about to
help me learn from my mistakes. Also for my project I am planning on programming an
application that will be either a game or a helpful application. My mentor will also be able to
clean up the application and fix any issues that I come across.

I have read Pine Lake’s ethics guide and understand that plagiarism, either intentional or
unintentional, will result in a zero.

Sincerely,

Dylan Changela
