The AFLC Discipleship Manual was birthed from an assignment at the Association Free
Lutheran Theological Seminary in the Spring of 2007. Seminary students worked in small groups
to write specific lessons relating to basic teachings of the Christian life. The resulting handbook
was field tested in a various congregational settings.
Today, more than ever, we see the need for vigilance in training new believers in the Word of
God. It is a blessing to add a Lutheran Discipleship Manual to our evangelism toolbox!
While a new Believer may go through manual alone, ideally a mature Christian would lead the
new believer through each lesson.
