Meejio

On a hot sandy day, in the land of S.A, the west coast to be exact. A
baby boy was born. The baby had blue eyes, gold hair, pink lips and
extremely red cheeks. At first, his parents thought that they had mistaken
the sex of the baby. They double checked and it was a boy.

His mother wanted to call him Mario, but his father wanted to go with Joe-
Ann. They couldn’t decide, so they waited for a sign.

They checked the baby thousands of times, when suddenly a birthmark

appeared on his back out of nowhere, it said Meej.

That’s when his parents decided to call him Meej. Amazingly, after they
informed the naming dude their decision, the birthmark disappeared. They
were shocked, thinking that it was a trick only their new born could
perform. They were proud.

During his growing-up period, his parents thought that it was

important to teach their child that equality among the sexes is a vital issue.
And after discussing the matter intensely with a child psychiatrist, they
decided to give him a Barbie to play with. Although the psychiatrist thought
that a teddy bear would do the trick.

Meejio didn’t mind, he loved his new best friend. Barbie made him feel
secure.

His parents got a little concerned when their child started to act like a
girl, whining about not being able to take his Barbie to school. So they
decided to enrol him in a soccer program; to roughen him up a little. Or
maybe a lot.

The soccer coach was gobsmacked when he first took a look at his
new soccer victim. He refused to take him in the program. That’s when his
father pulled a couple of strings and got him in.

No body liked Meej, he sat alone on the bench for almost all the time.
The coach wasn't helping either; his concern about his team exceeded the
human imagination.
Meej was so alone. He cried himself to sleep every night.
One night, he couldn’t take it anymore, and decided to share the
burden on his chest with his parents. He told them how the other boys
didn't like him, and how the coach was mean to him. How he sat alone all
the time, watching the other boys play. How he felt sad and alone.
That’s when his parents got this great idea about him baking cupcakes and
giving it to the other boys on the team. They also thought that it would be
cute if he dressed up as a super hero, and named himself Meejio.

And so he did...

Meej gathered his courage and went to the soccer field, wearing a red
cape with a giant M imprinted on it. He also had a catch phrase, "Have no
fear, cause' Meejio's here!”
All the boys made fun of him when he arrived, they laughed so hard when
he said his catch phrase and smashed the cupcakes in his face, calling him
fat and ugly.
He was so frustrated that he took his cape off and sat on the bench, where
he belonged.
He wanted his Barbie so bad. Why did his parents make him do this? He
was mad.

Right before practice ended, the goal keeper twisted his ankle, and
there was no one but Meej to sub, so he was in.
At first, he was terrified, he nearly wet his pants, but then he thought to
himself, " I have to do this, I have to be strong. I will show them how strong
I am, how I can kick their butts".
Which was exactly what he did, he managed to catch every ball. It couldn't
touch the net.
Everybody's jaws dropped, not believing what they have witnessed. Was it
magic? Was it a miracle? No one could believe it, not even Meej.
Suddenly, everybody started high-fiving him. Slamming his back and yelling
" way to go, Meejio!!"
For the first time in a very long time, Meej felt good. He wanted to play
some more, but he was too tired.
He couldn't walk back home, due to his hyper ventilation caused by the
adrenaline rush. They gave him a paper bag and offered a ride home, he
accepted one of the offers, and home was where he got.

His parents were sitting at the dinner table, thinking about what to
have for dinner the next night while drinking a bowl of melted ice cream.
They were surprised upon seeing a giant smile on Meej's face; it was a rare
thing to witness, especially without his Barbie doll.
He immediately started to narrate what had happened that afternoon. His
parents were so proud of him. And for the first time ever, his mother gave
him a hug.
His father teared up, and ran for the camera.

It was a lovely family moment.

That's when Meej realized that he should change his name to Meejio.
Meej wasn't loved, Meejio is.
Meej didn't receive hugs from his mother, Meejio does.
Meejio is way cooler.

Meejio believed that he was a superhero. He believed that he could make

the world we live in a better place.

Two weeks later, Meejio died attempting to fly.
