Proposal for support during the international project „Formula 1

in schools“ for providiong materials or covering other costs

Dear Sir or Madam,

We, the team Darklight, consisting of five pupils of the Alexander-von-Humboldt school in
Schweinfurt, want to compete in the multidisciplinary competition "Formula 1 in schools" again and
ask for your support.

The main objective of the competition is to develop a 20cm long miniature F1 car with CAD software,
testing it with different methods and improving the design based on the test results. The final car has
to be manufactured with the help of sponsors. Then the car has to prove itself on a 20m long track,
only powered by hte propulsion of a CO2 cartridge. The team also has to design a portfolio detailing
the project, build a pit display and do an oral presentation.

In the season 2017/18 we reached, considering the expirienced competition and our low budget, a
respectable second place in the regionals, where teams from Germany, Austria and the Netherlands
were present and recieved the special award for the best presentation. We see this as a challenge to
bring the regional champion's title to the Alexander-von-Humboldt school in Schweinfurt.

Do you find the topic interesting and want to suppport us? Then become our sponsor and support us
with services like painting the car. But services alone won't cut the deal. Therefore we also need
financial support, for example for the team uniform or the transportation cost, without wich
participating won't be possible.

Therefore we ask you to support us by painting a car and four hub cabs with VBx 1 with a surface area
of approx. 460cm². You will be represented with the Surrey Nano Systems logo, according to your
sponsorship, on our website darklightracing.jimdo.com, in the portfolio, at the pit display, in the
sponsor's folder, on our uniform and on the car.
