Block Schedule

1. Introduction- Students will dress up in the locker room then meet in the gym for stretch
and roll call. Each day, a student will take turns leading the stretches. We will alternate who
leads the stretches each day.

2. Daily Review- Review the scores of yesterday’s game, and briefly go over the bracket of
the tournament and discuss which team will be play which.

3. Daily Objective- The objective is to learn the techniques and positions of the sport as well
to participate in the tournament of flag football with selected teams. The first week will be
focused on learning the techniques, plays and positions as well as team selection. On
reoccurring days the objective will be simply to play the tournament.

4. Concept and Skill Development- The first week we will be going over techniques, plays
and positions. Skills such as how to throw, catch, and defend will be taught.

5. Guided/Independent/Group Practice- Teams will play against other teams in their


bracket.

6. Homework- Practice on your own at home or park. (Optional)

7. Closure- Students will head back to the locker room and dress up for class.
