Methodology

This chapter covers the research methodology regarding a discussion the

research design includes population and sampling, sources of data and statistical

tools used in the sudy.

Research Design

The method used for the descriptive, survey research design in the study.

The purpose of this study to determine the changes in transport regulation that

can contribute to reduce road accidents, traffic jams and improve road safety

standards for all road users in Dagupan City. The researchers gathered

information through survey , interviews and direct observation from the main

road intersection going to Dagupan City such as Manat intersection, Anolid road,

Calasiao- Dagupan intersection and Devenecia Highway.

Population and Sampling

The target population for this study are road users among commuters,

drivers etc. with information about road safety management in Dagupan City.

The Participants came from different places in the city. The population will be

provided the sample 399 road users in a questionnaire. The participants were

suitable for the needed data because of their involving individual basis in road
safety activities. The sample technique was used to collect filled- questionnaire

from sampling which are 399 participants concerned from their sorrounding.

Interviewing from some Government Agencies who involve of this research about

improving road safety standards. The researchers used a case study to

understand the everyday experinece and events of participants.
