Technology
In today's world, technology plays a very significant role in satisfying the
demanding demands of modern society. We have seen over time as the human
being and society has had the need to facilitate and organize their daily tasks.
Economic, social and political growth demanded of ancient societies, promoting the
creation of innovative and revolutionary events such as writing, printing, paper and
then the computer other. These inventions were of great magnitude in the
development of those societies and still in these times have a positive impact on
humankind, turning the world of today into the technological era. Technology is a
tool that has supported the communication media, private companies, government,
and education among others achieving great and significant advances in our
society. Education is one of the areas of greatest benefit with the implementation of
technology. In the classroom, technological means are used to offer students a
dynamic, versatile and effective teaching, turning the teaching-learning process
into an innovative one. There is a variety of technological equipment used in the
classroom and in the libraries, among which are:
• Television
• Video • Recorder
• Digital camera • Video camera
• Projector
• Computer and others.
All these equipment serve to enrich the educational process fulfilling the demands
of these times. The computer has been one of the most significant technological
means to acquire knowledge. It also provides students, teachers and librarians with
the unique and effective teaching-learning opportunity. In the classroom and in the
library, having the computer as a recurs technologic gives the learner the
opportunity to enrich himself / herself with information through the network, which
is additional knowledge and allows the learning to take place not only in words and
images, but also in color, sound, animations and movement.
