3. Sufficient Resources.
For Bill
To have resources (equipment and workers) on time.
b) What determines success for Tim Davidson, the project manager?
To complete the Project on Time and on budget. Furthermore to communicate effectively in order to
meet customer requirements.
c) What are the causes of the problems currently affecting the fluid drive project?
Lack of Understanding of Requirements.
Lack of Communication between project manager, product and engineer manager.
Lack of resources (equipment and people) availability on time.
Lack of responsibility shown by Engineering group that they didn’t check the customers requirement
with concern on time.
d) What might be done to correct these problems and minimize future conflict?
1. Tim should have focus on “Understanding of Requirements” from both the parties and
communicated well to know the time frames and resources they will be needed for each defined task.
2. Stakeholders should have been responsible enough on their part that how much time, specifications
and resources they will need for their tasks and have communicated the requirements and progress to
project manager on time.
3. Sufficient Time and Resource Availability from the beginning of Project according to the requirements
of each department.
