Notes, including this one, unless otherwise indicated, arc to be removed or reconciled when this is issued as a project specification, ‘This specification prescribes a uniform format for the presentation of structural data for the design of mechanical equipment and defines structural related data that the equipment supplier shall be expected to furnish as part of the suppl submittal. The Lead Structural Engineer has the responsibility to modify, add, or delete requirements to meet other governing criteria, including client requirements, regional, or local codes, or insurance underwriters’ requirements. A. Scope of Specification This specification provides structural data forthe design of mechanical equipment, and defines structural related requirements thatthe equipment Supplier shall be expected to furnish as part ofthe Supplier data submited. Wherover this specification differs from the referenced codes, standards, or specifications, this specification shall govern, B, Work Not Included ‘This specification is not to be used for the design of vessels and stacks; the engineer shall use Suructural Engineering Specification 670.215.0910: Structural Engineering Criteria, instead, Related Specifications ‘The following specifications prescribe items of related work: 670.215.0910; Structural Engineering Criteria Coordinate work prescribed by this specification with work prescribed by the above listed specifications. D. Related Technical Requirements ™ 000.215.1216: Earthquake Engineering E. _Provided by Supplier ‘The following information shall be included by Supplier on drawings or other documents submitted for review: 1 Rotating and reciprocating machinery weighing 5,000 pounds or less 4.
