Any jence between the C.1.S.P.R. recommendations and the corresponding national rules Should, as Ft as possible, be indicated in the later. PREFACE ‘This publication was prepared by C.1S.P-R. Sub-Committee C: Interference from overhead power lines, high-voltage 1d electre traction systems. content ofthis publication is based upon C.L.S.P.R. Recommendation No, 56 given below. Reference is aso made «0 CLS P.R, Recommendation No, 46: Significance of C.1S.P-R. limits, C.LS.P.R. RECOMMENDATION No, 56: METHODS OF MEASUREMENT OF RADIO INTERFERENCE CAUSED BY OVERHEAD POWER LINES AND HIGH-VOLTAGE EQUIPMENT AND THE PROCEDURE FOR DETERMINING LIMITS The CLS PR, Considering 4) that a general description ofthe radio interference characteristis of overhead power lines and high-voltage equipment has been published in C.LS.P-R. Publication 18-1, ‘by thatthe methods of measurement of these characteristics need 10 be established ©) that astuonal authorities tequire guidance on the procedure for determining limits of such radio interference Recommends thatthe latest edition of C.1.$.P.R. Publication 18-2. including amendments, be wed for methods of measurement of radio interference characteristics of overhead powes lines und high-voltage equipment and for procedures for determining limits, C.S.P.R. Publication 18-1 describes the main properties of the physical phenomena involved in the production of disturbing electromagnetic fields by overhead lines and provides numerical values of such fields, In Part 2 of C.18.P.R. Publication 18, methods of measurement and procedures for determining limits of such radio interference are recommended ‘The methods of measurement detail the techniques and procedures for use when measuring fields on site near to an ‘overheat! line and also the techniques and procedures for making laboratory measurements of interference voltages and ‘currents generated by line equipment and accessories
