Παράλληλα με τις δραστηριότητες του WSP, ίσως και λιγότερο σκόπιμα

αναπτύχθηκε η μουσική σύνθεση ηχοτοπίων (soundscape composition). Αυτό που
χαρακτηρίζει τη μουσική σύνθεση ηχοτοπίου είναι η παρουσία περιβαλλοντικών
ήχων μέσα σε αναγνωρίσιμα πλαίσια.
