The Participation of Members in Competitions Organized by Damai Sports Club

Figure 1 depicts the participation of members in Damai Sports Club Competitions (2011-
2014) and Table 1 shows the fees charged from 2011 to 2014. Generally, the overview shows
that the fees charged have influenced the participation of members in competitions in Damai
Sports Club from 2011 to 2014.

The number of members who participated in the Badminton competition (50%) in

2011 have dropped to (35%) participations in 2012. This is due to the slight increase of the
fees that was charged to the participants from RM8 to RM 10. It increased to (45%)
participants who were interested in the Badminton completion in 2013 but fell to (35%) in
2014. The participation for the swimming competition (20%) was lower than the badminton
competition (50%) in 2011. Unlike the Badminton competition which lost (15%) participants
in the following year, the swimming competition remained unchanged with the same number
of participants (20%) in 2012.

The tennis competition had (15%) participants in 2011 and steadily decreased to (4%)
in 2014. This was because it charged fees that were too pricy for the participants.

In conclusion, the number of participants in all of the three competitions organized by

the Damai Sports Club is affected by the fees charged for each competition.
